Terms of Service

1. The service

PayWatch (operated by PayWatch Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru) provides financial education, organisation and planning tools: a Money Health Score, action suggestions, tax estimates, insurance gap analysis, goal tracking and an AI question-answering assistant. The service is available on subscription plans described in the app, with prices inclusive of 18% GST.

2. Not investment advice

The service is not investment advice, and PayWatch is not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser. Outputs are educational estimates computed from your inputs and published planning standards. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. Independent advisors available through any marketplace feature are independently SEBI-registered and responsible for their own advice.

3. Your account

Accounts are created with an Indian mobile number and OTP. You must be 18 or older. Keep your device secure; you are responsible for activity under your login. We may suspend accounts used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.

4. Subscriptions & billing

  • Billing is monthly (or annual at 10× the monthly price) via our payment provider. GST invoices are issued for every charge.
  • Failed payments: 3-day grace period with retries, then features lock (your data is preserved). The subscription cancels after 30 days unresolved.
  • Cancellation: access continues until the end of the paid period. No partial refunds except as required by law.
  • Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing; downgrades from the next cycle.

5. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to breach security, scrape other users' data, reverse-engineer the service, or use it for unlawful purposes. The AI assistant may not be used to generate content unrelated to your finances.

6. Accuracy & liability

We work to keep calculations correct and current with Indian law, but provide the service “as is” without warranty that outputs are error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months preceding a claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

7. Data

Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete it at any time. We process bank data only via the RBI-regulated Account Aggregator framework under your revocable consent.

8. Changes & termination

We may update features and these terms; material changes are notified in-app 15 days in advance. You may terminate at any time by cancelling and deleting your account.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka having exclusive jurisdiction. Grievance Officer: grievance@paywatch.in.
